If your estate was sequestrated, you do not have to wait the full ten years for automatic rehabilitation. In most cases you can apply to the High Court from four years after sequestration — sometimes sooner — to be rehabilitated, ending your insolvency and the restrictions that come with it.
Rehabilitation restores you to the marketplace: you can obtain credit again, own assets outright and hold a directorship. It also updates your credit record — the sequestration listing is removed and your status reflects “rehabilitated”. We manage the process together with qualified attorneys.
